Get to Know Us
As an American expat family, we sought a lifestyle that aligns with our values and goals. In January 2022, we made the move to Atenas, Costa Rica and quickly immersed ourselves in the local community. Our permaculture farm, complete with short-term rental accommodations, has allowed us to live sustainably while also providing a unique vacation experience for our guests. In addition to running our farm, we have also adopted multiple rescue animals, traveled to neighboring Central American countries, and experienced the building process of both a small guesthouse and our own home. The abundance of insects and wildlife in Atenas never ceases to amaze us and we have made lifelong friendships in our new community.

Playa Blanca/Playa Mantus
Playa Blanca and Playa Mantus are less than an hour away. Playa Mantus is a great beach for families. And Playa Blanca has bigger surf and a beautiful white sandy beach
Las Minas Waterfalls
Less than 15 minutes from Finca De Los Colores. Las Minas is a popular locals spot to spend the day. There are multiple different waterfalls and swimming holes.
Explore The Local Food
For being a small town, Atenas has an abundance of great restaurants.
Farmers Market
Explore the farmers market Thursday and Friday for local fresh produce.
Isla Tortuga
Spend the day snorkeling and relaxing on the beautiful beaches of Isla Tortuga.
"This farm has more flora and fauna then I could ever hope for. The finca has a wide variety of fruits and veggies and even PEANUTS! The flowers are beautiful and colorful- hence the fincas suitable name. We saw Guatusas and Pizotes, so if you are are looking for lots of different bird species or other wildlife, look no further!
